VoltPrep Electrician Exam Prep

Effective: July 14, 2026  ·  Last updated: July 14, 2026

The short version

This Privacy Policy explains how VoltPrep Electrician Exam Prep (the “App”) handles information. The App is published by 99 Cent Apps LLC, doing business as TapForge Studios (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By installing or using the App, you agree to this policy.

1 Information we collect

Information you provide

None is required. The App has no account system and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifying information to function.

Information stored on your device

As you use the App, it saves your study data locally on your device using on-device storage. This includes your answered questions and scores, mock-exam history, bookmarks, streaks, daily goals, and app settings. This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and is removed when you clear the App's data or uninstall the App. You can also erase it at any time using Reset all progress in the App's settings.

Information collected automatically by third parties

To show ads and process purchases, the App uses services provided by Google. These services may automatically collect certain information, described in Sections 3 and 4. We do not use third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools in the App.

2 How information is used

3 Advertising

The free version of the App displays ads served by Google AdMob. To deliver, measure, and (where permitted) personalize ads, AdMob may collect and process information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, general device information, and interactions with ads. This processing is carried out by Google as an independent service; we do not receive this information.

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the App presents a consent request (via Google's User Messaging Platform) before personalized ads are shown, in line with applicable law.

You have control over ad personalization:

Learn more about how Google uses data from apps that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and Google's advertising choices: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

4 Purchases

The App offers an optional one-time in-app purchase (“Pro”) that unlocks the full question bank, removes ads, and lifts usage limits. All payments are processed by Google Play Billing. Your payment method and billing details are handled by Google under its own terms; we do not collect, receive, or store your full payment information. Google provides us only with the confirmation needed to grant your purchase.

See Google Play's terms: play.google.com/about/play-terms.

5 How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Because the App has no backend of our own, the only parties that process information in connection with the App are the Google services described above (AdMob and Google Play), acting under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law or valid legal process.

Google's Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

6 Data retention

Because your study data lives on your device, it is retained until you delete it (through Reset all progress, by clearing the App's data, or by uninstalling the App). Information processed by Google for ads and purchases is retained according to Google's own policies.

7 Security

Your on-device data is protected by your device's own security and app-sandboxing model. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We recommend keeping your device's operating system and the App up to date.

8 Children's privacy

The App is a professional study tool intended for a general, adult audience preparing for electrician licensing exams. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us and we will address it.

9 Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EEA/UK) or the CCPA/CPRA (California), including rights to access, correct, or delete personal information and to opt out of certain processing.

To exercise any right or ask a question, contact us using the details below.

10 International users

The App is offered from the United States. Information processed by Google's services may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, under safeguards described in Google's policies. By using the App, you understand that such processing may occur.

11 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at this URL. Material changes may also be noted in the App or its store listing. Your continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
