Special Hazards Exam Prep (package com.tapforgestudios.specialhazards)
is published by TapForge Studios, a trading name of 99 Cent Apps LLC. This policy
explains what the app collects and what it does not.
Nothing. We operate no server for this app, receive no analytics from it, and have no way to identify you or contact you unless you email us. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored.
The free tier displays advertising through Google AdMob. AdMob collects the following, and this list matches the Data safety declaration on the Play listing exactly:
| Data type | Purpose | Collected | Shared |
|---|---|---|---|
| Device or other IDs (advertising ID) | Advertising, fraud prevention | Yes | Yes |
| Approximate location, derived from IP address | Advertising | Yes | Yes |
| App interactions | Advertising, analytics | Yes | Yes |
| Crash logs and diagnostics | App functionality and reliability | Yes | Yes |
All of it is transmitted over an encrypted connection. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy, and you can review AdMob's own disclosure at support.google.com/admob.
Where the law requires it, the app presents a consent form through Google's User Messaging Platform before any ad is requested, and the ads SDK is not initialised until that flow has finished. You can reopen your choices at any time from About → Settings → Ad privacy options.
Purchasing the one-time upgrade removes all advertising, and with it the AdMob collection described above.
The optional one-time upgrade (shs_prep_pro) is processed by
Google Play Billing. TapForge Studios never receives or stores your payment
details — Google confirms the purchase to the app and nothing more. The purchase
is tied to your Google account and can be restored on any device from
About → Restore purchase.
After a strong result the app may ask, once and only once, whether you would like to rate it, using Google Play's in-app review flow. That flow is operated entirely by the Play Store. The app is not told whether you left a review or what you said, and it never asks again.
The following is written to the app's private storage using Android DataStore. None of it leaves the device:
Your test date is a date you type in. It is used only to draw the countdown and work out a daily pace, and it is not transmitted anywhere. All of this is included in Android's standard backup if you have that turned on for your device, in which case it is covered by your Google account's own protections.
This app is a professional certification study aid intended for adults working in the fire protection trades. It is not directed at children, it is not listed in a children's category, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — required to
serve advertising, reach Google Play Billing, and open the links on the
About screen. Every question, lesson, formula and calculator works with no
connection at all.AD_ID — required by Google Play for apps that may serve
personalised advertising. The app requests no location permission, no storage permission, no camera, no contacts and no microphone.
Because the app holds no account and we hold no copy of your data, there is no deletion request to make of us — uninstalling is complete deletion. If you would like that confirmed in writing, email us and we will confirm it.
If this policy changes, the revised version is posted at this address with an updated date, and the version of the app it applies to is named at the top.
