SlipKeep — Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 22, 2026 · Contact: contact@tapforgeapps.com
The short version
SlipKeep keeps your receipts on your phone. We do not have an account system, we do not have a server, and we never receive your receipts, photos, totals or notes. When you choose to back up your data, it goes directly from your device to the storage location you pick — never through us.
What stays on your device
Receipt photos, merchants, amounts, sales tax, dates, categories, payment notes, budgets and settings are stored in SlipKeep’s private app storage on your device. Text recognition (OCR) runs on the device using Google ML Kit’s bundled model — no image is uploaded for processing.
If you have Android’s backup or device-transfer feature enabled, Android may include this data in your own Google backup. That backup is controlled by you and your Google account, not by us.
You can export your data at any time (CSV, PDF or a JSON backup) and share it wherever you choose. Deleting the app deletes the data with it, so export first if you want to keep it.
Backup & restore
SlipKeep can back up your receipts — including photos — to a folder you choose, so you can restore them on a new phone. This uses Android’s built-in Storage Access Framework: you pick the destination folder (for example a folder synced by Google Drive, Dropbox, or another storage app you already have installed, or a folder on the device itself), and SlipKeep writes a single backup file directly to it. SlipKeep never signs in to Drive, Dropbox or any other service, never sees your credentials, and has no access to anything else in that folder or account — only the one backup file it creates. If you turn on automatic backup in Settings, SlipKeep repeats this same on-device write on a schedule, to the same folder you chose, with no server or third party involved at any point. Restoring reads that same file back from the folder you select. You can turn off automatic backup or clear the saved folder at any time from Settings.
Cross-promotion
SlipKeep’s Settings screen shows a short list of other apps from
TapForge Studios. To display their icons, SlipKeep fetches those icon
images directly from Google Play’s image servers
(play-lh.googleusercontent.com) over a standard internet
connection and caches them on your device. No receipt data, personal
information, or identifiers are sent as part of these requests — only a
request for a public app icon image, the same as loading any image from
a website.
Advertising
The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. Google’s Mobile Ads SDK may collect your advertising ID, approximate (coarse) location, device information and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads. Before any ad loads, SlipKeep shows Google’s consent form (UMP) where required — for example under GDPR — and you can change your choices at any time from Settings → Ad privacy → Privacy options. Buying SlipKeep Pro removes ads entirely; no ad code runs for Pro users.

Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles payment details; we receive no card or bank information. Purchase status is checked with Google Play and cached on your device so Pro keeps working offline.
Diagnostics
If SlipKeep crashes, it writes a technical report (app version, device model, Android version and the step it stopped on) to your device and offers to email it to us. Nothing is sent unless you tap send, and the report contains no receipt contents, photos, amounts or merchant names.
