PixelSmith ("the app") is published by TapForge Studios (99 Cent Apps LLC) ("we", "us"). Contact: contact@tapforgeapps.com.
All AI features run on your device: AI Enhance (including the HD Enhance model), Remove Background and HD Cutout, Magic Eraser (including HD Remove and Smart Select), Portrait Blur and Depth Blur, the Refine tools, Batch Cutout, Combine photos and Retouch (skin smoothing, healing, red-eye fix, teeth, eye and dark-circle touch-ups and the retouch brushes). So do all the editing tools (adjustments, filters, effects, blur, crop, drawing, text and memes). The photos you open, the areas you paint or tap and the results you create are processed in your device's memory and are never sent to TapForge Studios or any third party.
You choose photos with the Android Photo Picker, by sharing them to PixelSmith, with "Edit with" in your gallery, or by taking a picture with your camera app. The app only sees the photos you pick; it never asks for access to your whole photo library. A picture you take from inside PixelSmith is kept in the app's private storage.
Results you save are written to your gallery (Pictures/PixelSmith) and carry no location metadata. When you share a result or a before/after video, it goes only to the app you choose.
Retouch uses Google's ML Kit face detection, which runs on your device, to find the faces in the photo you are editing and the outline of each face and of its eyes, eyebrows, lips and nose. That lets touch-ups such as skin smoothing, teeth whitening and eye brightening land in the right places. This face data:
We never receive or see face data, and PixelSmith has no face recognition. The face detection model is delivered by Google Play services (see section 6, ML Kit).
None of this leaves your device, with one exception: if Android backup is turned on, the small settings file is included in your Android backup and in device-to-device transfers, so your streak and preferences can move to a new phone. Photos, edit history and AI models are always excluded from backups. Clearing the app's data (Android Settings › Apps › PixelSmith › Storage) or uninstalling the app removes everything listed above from your device.
Five optional AI models (HD Enhance, HD Remove, HD Cutout, Depth Blur and Smart Select) are not part of the install. When you tap Download, Google Play delivers the model to your device, the same way it delivers app updates, and Google's privacy policy applies to that download. PixelSmith sends no photos or other data of its own as part of it. Once downloaded, the models run entirely on your device and also work offline. You can remove them at any time in Settings › HD AI downloads.
Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and User Messaging Platform. The free version shows ads: a banner on the Home screen, a full-screen ad after some saves, an ad when you come back to the app after a while, and a rewarded video only if you choose to watch one to unlock an HD export. Google may collect and process your device's advertising ID, IP address (used to estimate approximate location), app interactions with ads and diagnostic information to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the app asks for your consent first, using Google's consent message. In US states with privacy laws you can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your data for targeted advertising. You can change your choice at any time in Settings › Ad privacy choices (shown where these rules apply). Learn more at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. PixelSmith never requests or shows ads for PixelSmith Pro users or during a Day Pass.
ML Kit (Google Play services). Remove Background and the tools built on it (such as Portrait Blur, stickers, Batch Cutout and the AI cut-out in Combine photos) use Google's ML Kit subject segmentation, and Retouch uses ML Kit face detection (section 3). Google Play services downloads these models when you install the app or the first time you use one of these tools. Your images, and the face data Retouch uses, are processed on your device and are not sent to Google. Google may collect diagnostic and usage information about ML Kit (for example device model, Android and app version, performance metrics and error codes), as described in the ML Kit terms and Google's privacy policy.
Google Play Billing. Purchases and subscriptions (including free trials and introductory offers) are processed by Google Play. We never see your payment details. Google gives us order records (such as the order number, product, price and country) that we use only for accounting, taxes and refunds. See the Google Payments Privacy Notice.
Google Play In-App Review. The app may show Google Play's rating dialog. Your rating and review are handled by Google Play under Google's privacy policy.

Contact support, Report a problem and, after a crash, the Email button in Safe Mode open your own email app with a message addressed to us. Nothing is sent unless you press send, and you can read and edit the message first. Besides what you write, the message contains the app version, your device's manufacturer and model, the Android version, the device's memory and processor type and, for problem reports, whether the app's GPU acceleration is on. A crash report also contains the technical error details (a stack trace) and the name of the step the app was working on. These messages never contain your photos. We use them only to fix problems and to reply to you, keep them only as long as needed for that, and delete them if you ask us to.
If you turn on the daily HD credit reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device for when a free HD credit is waiting (and schedules it again after your device restarts). No data is sent for this, and you can turn it off in Settings or in Android settings.
PixelSmith doesn't ask for access to your location, contacts, microphone, camera (pictures are taken with your own camera app) or your whole photo library.
PixelSmith has no sign-in and no account, and we have no server that receives data from the app. The app contains no analytics or tracking code of our own, and the built-in usage telemetry of ONNX Runtime (one of the libraries that run the AI models) is switched off. We do not sell your personal data. The data described in section 6 is collected by Google directly, under Google's policies.
PixelSmith is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Because your photos stay on your device, they are protected by your device's own security. Data that Google's services collect is sent over encrypted connections and kept according to Google's policies. The only personal data we hold is the email you choose to send us (section 7).
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the latest version, and important changes will be announced in the app.
