Lunara — Period & Cycle Tracker · Last updated: [EFFECTIVE DATE]

In one paragraph. Lunara keeps everything you track on your own device. There is no account and no sign-up, and the app does not have permission to use the internet, so it cannot send your cycle data anywhere. We — the developer — never receive, store, or have access to your health information. We can't sell it, share it, or hand it to anyone, because we never have it.

1. Who we are

Lunara (“the app”, “Lunara”) is a menstrual and cycle tracking app for Android, published by TapForge Studios ([LEGAL ENTITY]) (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains how the app handles your information. You can reach us at contact@tapforgeapps.com.

2. What Lunara stores on your device

Lunara lets you record information about your menstrual cycle so the app can show you a calendar, predictions, and insights. Depending on what you choose to enter, this may include:

All of this is stored only in the app’s private storage on your device. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party by the app.

3. What we collect

None. We do not collect, receive, transmit, sell, rent, or share any personal information or health information. Lunara does not include any account system and does not request the Android INTERNET permission, so it is not technically capable of sending your data off your device. We operate no servers that receive your cycle data, and we have no ability to access what you store in the app.

You can verify the absence of network access yourself: the app’s permission list on its Google Play page and in Android Settings does not include internet/network access.

4. A note on reproductive-health data

We know that information about periods, fertility, and pregnancy is sensitive, and that many people want to be sure it can’t be accessed by anyone else. Lunara is built for that:

For extra protection on your own device, you can enable App Lock (see Permissions) and use your phone’s screen lock and encryption.

5. Backups and exports you control

Lunara gives you tools to protect your own data. Anything these tools create is under your control, not ours:

6. Optional cloud backup (off by default)

A future or optional version of Lunara may offer an opt-in cloud backup that syncs your data to your own personal cloud account (such as Google Drive). If offered, this feature is turned off unless you explicitly enable it and confirm an in-app notice. Turning it on means your cycle data would leave your device and be stored in your own account with that provider, under their privacy policy, and would require internet access. You can turn it off at any time. Unless you knowingly enable such a feature, Lunara sends nothing off your device.

7. Permissions the app may request

Lunara does not request internet, location, contacts, camera, microphone, or storage permissions for browsing your files; backups use the system folder picker, which grants access only to the single folder you choose.

8. Purchases

“Lunara Pro” is an optional paid upgrade sold through Google Play billing. Payments are processed by Google, not by us; we never see your payment card or billing details. Google’s handling of that transaction is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. Inside the app, Lunara stores only a local flag indicating whether Pro is active.

9. Advertising and analytics

Lunara contains no advertising and no third-party advertising, analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. We do not use cookies or advertising identifiers.

10. Your rights and choices

Because your data stays on your device and we hold nothing, you are always in direct control of it:

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). We want to be clear about how these apply to Lunara: we do not collect, process on a server, sell, or “share” (as those laws define it) any personal information, so there is no data on our side to access, port, correct, or delete. You exercise these rights directly through the app as described above. If you have questions, contact us at contact@tapforgeapps.com.

11. Children

Lunara is a general-audience health tool and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, as it collects nothing at all. Younger users are encouraged to use the app with the support of a parent or guardian.

12. Security and retention

Your data remains on your device until you delete it. Lunara disables Android’s automatic system-cloud backup for the app, so your cycle data is not copied into device cloud backups without your involvement, and it offers an optional App Lock. Any backups you choose to create live wherever you decided to put them, and their security depends on that location and your device. No method of electronic storage is perfectly secure, but keeping your data on-device and off any server removes an entire category of risk.

13. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will change the “Last updated” date above and post the revised version at this URL. Material changes will be reflected in a future update of the app. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
