Privacy Policy — Lunara (Period & Cycle Tracker)

In one paragraph. Lunara keeps everything you track on your own device. There is no account and no sign-up, and the app does not have permission to use the internet, so it cannot send your data anywhere. We — the developer — never receive, store, or have access to your health information. We can't sell it, share it, or hand it to anyone, because we never have it.

1. Who we are

Lunara ("the app") is a menstrual and cycle tracking app for Android, published by TapForge Studios ([LEGAL ENTITY]) ("we", "us", "our"). Contact: contact@tapforgeapps.com.

2. What Lunara stores on your device

Depending on what you choose to enter, this may include:

Period start and end dates, daily flow, symptoms (including menopausal-transition symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats), moods, and free-text notes
A local profile: an optional name, your birth year (used to show your age), your reason for using the app, and — if you track a pregnancy — an estimated due date
Your app settings (reminders, backup preferences, whether App Lock is on)

All of this is stored only in the app's private storage on your device. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party by the app.

3. What we collect

None. We do not collect, receive, transmit, sell, rent, or share any personal or health information. Lunara has no account system and does not request the Android `INTERNET` permission, so it is not technically capable of sending your data off your device. We operate no servers that receive your data. You can verify this: the app's permission list on Google Play and in Android Settings does not include internet/network access.

4. A note on reproductive-health data

Information about periods, fertility, and pregnancy is sensitive, and many people want to be sure it can't be accessed by anyone else. Lunara is built for that:

Your data lives on your device, not on our servers — we have no copy.
There is no account, email, or profile tied to your data on our side.
Because we never receive your data, we have nothing to disclose in response to a subpoena, warrant, government request, or any third-party request. There is no data on our side to produce.
We do not build advertising or analytics profiles, and we do not track your activity.

For extra protection on your own device, you can enable App Lock and use your phone's screen lock.

5. Backups and exports you control

Anything these tools create is under your control, not ours:

Export / Import. Export your data to a file and import it back later. You choose where it goes.
Automatic backups. If you turn this on, the app writes a backup into a folder *you* pick. If you pick a folder that syncs to a cloud service (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.), that other app syncs the file at your request, under your account and their terms — Lunara itself has no internet access.
Doctor report (PDF). Generated on your device and shared only if you choose, via the app you pick from the Android share sheet.

6. Health Connect (optional, on-device)

If you choose to connect Health Connect, Lunara can read and write your menstruation data (periods and flow) to Android's on-device Health Connect store, so you can share it with other health apps you choose or bring their data into Lunara. This is local to your device over IPC — there is no network transfer, and Lunara still has no internet permission. Health Connect is off unless you enable it, you control which apps may access it, and you can revoke Lunara's access at any time in Health Connect settings.

7. Optional cloud backup (off by default)

A future or optional version may offer an opt-in cloud backup to your own personal cloud account. If offered, it is turned off unless you explicitly enable it, would require internet access, and stores data in your own account under that provider's policy. Unless you knowingly enable it, Lunara sends nothing off your device.

8. Permissions the app may request

Notifications (optional) — only for local reminders you turn on.
Biometric / device credential (optional) — only for App Lock. Handled entirely by Android; never seen by the app.
Health Connect (menstruation read/write) (optional) — only if you connect Health Connect (section 6).

Lunara does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, or broad storage permissions.

9. Purchases

"Lunara Pro" is an optional paid upgrade sold through Google Play billing. Payments are processed by Google, not by us; we never see your payment details (see the Google Privacy Policy). Inside the app, Lunara stores only a local flag indicating whether Pro is active.

10. Advertising and analytics

Lunara contains no advertising and no third-party advertising, analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. No cookies, no advertising identifiers.

11. Your rights and choices

Because your data stays on your device and we hold nothing, you are always in direct control:

Access & portability: export your data to a file at any time.
Correction: edit or delete any entry in the app.
Deletion: clear the app's storage in Android Settings or uninstall. There is no server-side copy held by us to delete.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). Because we do not collect, process on a server, sell, or "share" any personal information, there is no data on our side to act on; you exercise these rights directly in the app. Questions: contact@tapforgeapps.com.

12. Children

Lunara is a general-audience health tool, not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, because it collects nothing.

13. Security and retention

Your data remains on your device until you delete it. Lunara disables Android's automatic system-cloud backup for the app and offers an optional App Lock. Any backups you create live wherever you put them. No electronic storage is perfectly secure, but keeping data on-device and off any server removes an entire category of risk.
