GableForge Privacy Policy
- Your inspections, photos, client details, logo and signature are stored on your phone. We don't run servers that receive them, and we can't see them.
- GableForge has no account or sign-up.
- The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect device and advertising data for those ads, as described below. GableForge Pro removes ads.
- Purchases are handled by Google Play. We never see your payment details.
- Your data only leaves your phone when you choose to send or back it up, and it goes where you choose.
1. Who we are
GableForge is published by TapForge Studios, a trade name of 99 Cent Apps LLC, Crown Point, Indiana, USA ("we", "us"). Questions about this policy: contact@tapforgeapps.com.
2. Information you enter, stored only on your device
To build reports, you may enter:
- Inspection details: property address, property facts, ratings, observations, recommendations, and the inspection date and conditions.
- Client and customer details: names, phone numbers, email and mailing addresses, agent names and notes.
- Photos you take or pick for items and cover pages.
- Your business profile: name, license number, certifications, contact details, website, logo, signature and report settings.
- Custom templates, saved comments and app settings.
All of this is stored in the app's private storage on your device. It is not sent to us or to any server we operate. You are responsible for having your clients' permission to record their information, in line with the laws that apply to your business.
3. When information leaves your device
Only when you do one of these things:
- Sharing, emailing or saving a report. GableForge hands the PDF to the app or location you pick, such as your email app, a messaging app, Downloads or a cloud drive. That app's own privacy policy then applies.
- Backing up. "Back up everything" creates a single file that you choose where to save or send. Automatic backup (Pro) writes to the Google Drive folder or phone folder you choose. GableForge has no access to your Drive beyond that one folder.
- Android's own backup. If Android backup is turned on in your phone settings, Android may back up GableForge's data, including photos, to your Google account so it can be restored on a new phone. This is handled by Google under your Google account settings. We don't receive a copy.
- Emailing us. "Send feedback" opens your email app with our address and your app version, Android version and phone model filled in. Nothing is sent unless you press send.
- Report diagnostics. If building a report stops unexpectedly, GableForge may offer to email us technical details: the step it stopped on, item counts and character codes. These details contain no client, property or report text, and are sent only if you choose to send them.
4. Advertising (free version)
The free version shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, and to limit fraud, Google may collect:
- your device's advertising ID and other device identifiers
- your IP address and approximate location derived from it
- device and app information, such as model, operating system and app version
- ad interactions, such as views and taps, and diagnostic data
In regions that require it, including the EEA, UK, Switzerland and some US states, GableForge asks for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice any time in Settings → Privacy & consent options. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Google settings.
The ads never receive your inspection, client or report content. Upgrading to GableForge Pro removes ads.

5. Purchases
GableForge Pro subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles your payment details. GableForge only receives confirmation of which product you own, so it can unlock Pro on your device. Manage or cancel subscriptions in the Google Play Store.
6. Other network requests
To show whether our upcoming apps are available yet, GableForge occasionally requests their public Google Play store pages. This happens about every 12 hours in the background, or at most once an hour while you're viewing the list in Settings, and stops once the app is available. The request contains no personal information or app content. As with any web request, Google receives your device's IP address and basic request information.
7. Permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Internet and network state | Ads, Google Play purchases, and the store-page check described above. |
| Notifications (optional) | Reminders about tomorrow's inspections and unfinished reports, and the one-time notice for an app you asked to hear about. Only requested when you turn one of these on. |
| Camera | GableForge doesn't request the camera permission. Photos are taken with your phone's own camera app, which saves the picture directly into GableForge. |
| Photos | GableForge doesn't request access to your photo library. The Android photo picker gives the app only the photos you select. |
8. Reminders
Reminders are worked out entirely on your device from your inspection dates and progress. No schedule information is sent anywhere.
9. Keeping and deleting your information
Your information stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual inspections, photos, customers, templates and comments in the app. Uninstalling GableForge removes all of its data from the phone. Backup files you created, and copies you shared, are stored where you put them and must be deleted there.
10. Security
Data is kept in GableForge's private app storage, which other apps can't read. Protect your phone with a screen lock, and store backup files somewhere secure, because they contain your clients' information.
11. Children
GableForge is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, for example under the GDPR or US state privacy laws such as the CCPA, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its use. Because we don't hold the information you enter in GableForge, you can exercise these rights directly in the app. For advertising data, use the consent options in Settings and your device's advertising ID controls, or contact Google. We don't sell personal information. For any request or question, email contact@tapforgeapps.com.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change how GableForge handles information, we'll update this page and the effective date above. For significant changes, we'll also say so in the app's release notes.
