Haulforge is an Android app published by TapForge Studios, a trade name of 99 Cent Apps LLC, Crown Point, Indiana, USA (“we”, “us”).
1. What we collect
Nothing. We operate no servers, we hold no database of users, and no information about you or your business is ever transmitted to us. There is nothing for us to sell, share, lose, or hand over.
Haulforge does not require an account, an email address, or a sign-in of any kind. We do not know your name, and we do not know you exist.
2. What the Google Maps component sends to Google
Google Play holds us responsible for what the components inside the app do, not only for what we do ourselves. Haulforge uses Google's Maps SDK to draw the map on the Stops screen. By Google's own published account, it collects:

We never see any of it. We receive no reports from it. We cannot switch it off — it is the price of Google drawing the map. Google's disclosure is published here, and their privacy policy governs it.
None of it touches your business. Not a load, not a fill-up, not a receipt, not a mile, not a dollar.
3. What the app stores on your device
All of this lives in Haulforge's private storage, readable only by the app:
- Loads, trips, revenue and costs
- Fuel purchases, gallons, prices and odometer readings
- Per-jurisdiction mileage for IFTA
- Expenses, recurring costs and maintenance records
- Photographs of receipts you attach
- Recorded drives, including distance and the states crossed
- Vehicles, your rig's height and weight, settings, and saved truck stops
- Downloaded truck-stop and clearance map data (a cache)
- Whether this Google account owns Haulforge Pro
You can export all of it at any time as a plain ZIP file, and delete all of it in seconds. See section 8.
4. Permissions, and exactly why
Location — approximate and precise
Requested only when you tap something that needs it.
- Finding stops and low bridges near you. Your coordinates are used on the device to sort results and to compare posted clearances against the rig height you entered. A bounding box — a rectangle of a few dozen miles, not your position — is sent to a public map service so it can return what is inside it. Your rig's height and weight never leave the phone.
- Recording a drive. When you press Start drive, Haulforge runs a foreground service with a permanent notification and reads your position to add up the miles. Roughly every ten miles, one coordinate is sent to a reverse-geocoding service to name the state you are in, so IFTA miles land in the right column.
Haulforge does not request background location. Tracking runs only while the service is running and the notification is visible.
Physical activity (ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION) — optional
If you switch on “Offer to start when I'm driving,” Android tells the app when it detects you have entered a vehicle. Haulforge responds by posting a notification with a Start button. It cannot and does not start tracking by itself. This signal never leaves the device. Switch the setting off and the permission goes unused.
Notifications
To show the drive-tracking notification and the driving nudge. Nothing is sent to you by us.
Photos and media
Only images you personally pick from your gallery, or take through the system camera app, to attach as a receipt. They are copied into the app's private folder. Haulforge does not scan, index, or upload your photo library.
Files and documents
Used only when you choose where to save a backup, which file to restore, or where to put a PDF or CSV. Haulforge gets access to the exact file or folder you pick, and nothing else.
Internet
Required for the map services below, and for Google Play Billing.
5. Services the app contacts
Apart from the Google Maps row, Haulforge sends no personal information to any of these. Each request carries a location or a search string, and nothing that identifies you.

As with any internet request, these services will see your device's IP address. We never receive it.

6. Purchases
Haulforge Pro is sold through Google Play. We never see your payment details. Google tells the app one thing: whether this Google account owns Haulforge Pro. That answer is cached on the device so the app keeps working when you have no signal.
7. Backups
- Android Auto Backup. Android may copy Haulforge's database and settings to your Google Drive account, encrypted, as part of the operating system's normal backup. Receipt photos are excluded. This is a feature of Android, governed by Google's privacy policy, and you can switch it off in your device settings.
- Backups you make. Exports go to the exact folder or file you pick. If you point one at a synced cloud folder, that provider's policy applies to the file you put there.
- Device-to-device transfer. When you set up a new phone from an old one, Android may carry Haulforge's data across, receipt photos included.
8. Deleting your data
Because your data is on your phone and not on our servers, you do not need our permission or our help. You hold the only copy, and you can destroy it without asking anyone.

Uninstall Haulforge. Every record, every receipt photo, every setting and the entire map cache goes with it, immediately and permanently.
Or, to wipe the app but keep it installed: Android Settings → Apps → Haulforge → Storage & cache → Clear storage.
Neither can be undone. Export a backup first if you might want the data later.

Things we cannot delete, because we never had them
- Data the Google Maps component sent to Google (section 2). That is Google's to hold and Google's to delete. Their controls are at myactivity.google.com.
- Your purchase record. Google keeps this so Play can restore your purchase on a new phone, and because tax law requires a record of the sale. Cancelling a subscription does not erase the receipt, and neither can we.
- Server logs at OpenStreetMap or OSRM. Those organizations may log an IP address for a period. We have no access, no account and no standing there. Their policies are linked in section 5.
If you would rather ask us
Email contact@tapforgeapps.com and we will answer within 30 days. Be aware that we will almost certainly reply telling you to uninstall the app, because that is genuinely all it takes — we hold nothing of yours to delete.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA, and comparable laws you have rights to access, correct, port, and erase your personal data, and to object to its sale. Because we hold no data about you, those requests are answered by your own device:

10. Analytics, advertising and tracking
We run none. Haulforge contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporter, no attribution library, and no advertising identifier. We do not know how many times you opened the app, which features you use, or whether you are still using it. We prefer it that way.
The one exception is the anonymous Maps identifier in section 2, which Google uses to count map users. It is not an advertising ID, it is not shared with advertisers, and we have no access to it.
11. Children
Haulforge is a bookkeeping tool for commercial drivers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.
12. Security
Data sits in Android's app-private storage, which the operating system isolates from other apps. Every network request uses HTTPS. Because nothing leaves the device by default, the real risk to your books is losing the phone — which is why the app ships with a backup you can hold.
13. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new version number and effective date. Material changes will also appear in the app's release notes.
