Fireforge — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 July 2026

This policy explains how the Fireforge app (com.tapforgestudios.fireforge), published by TapForge Studios (99 Cent Apps LLC), handles information. Fireforge is a set of calculators and references for fire alarm technicians.

The short version. Fireforge has no account and no servers of its own. It does not ask for your name, email or location, and it does not upload your work. The device library you build — device currents, and any PDFs or photos of manuals you attach — stays on your phone. The one thing that does collect data is the ads shown in the free version, which come from Google AdMob; that is described below, and you can remove ads entirely with the one-time Fireforge Pro purchase.

1. Information the app collects itself

None. Fireforge does not require an account, does not have a login, and does not send your calculations, saved devices, documents or usage to us or to any server we operate. We operate no server and receive no personal information from the app.

2. Information stored only on your device

To do its job the app saves some data locally, in the app's private storage on your phone. This never leaves the device and is not visible to us:

Uninstalling the app removes all of this local data. You can also remove individual saved devices and attachments inside the app at any time.

3. Camera and files

Fireforge lets you attach a manual or photograph a cut sheet so you have it in the field. When you tap Take photo, your device's own camera app takes the picture and the image is saved into Fireforge's private storage. Fireforge does not request the camera permission and cannot access your photo gallery or files on its own — you choose each document through your device's standard file picker, and the app only receives the specific file you pick.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of Fireforge shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google's advertising SDK may collect and use information such as your device's advertising identifier, general device information, app-interaction data and an approximate location derived from your IP address. This is standard mobile-ad behaviour and is handled by Google, not by us.

Buying Fireforge Pro removes ads, and with them this data collection.

5. Purchases (Google Play Billing)

The optional Fireforge Pro unlock is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles the payment. Fireforge never sees or stores your payment-card details; it only receives confirmation of whether the unlock has been purchased, so it can enable the Pro features.

6. Permissions

Fireforge requests only:

It does not request camera, location, contacts, microphone, storage or phone permissions.

7. Children

Fireforge is a professional tool intended for people working in the fire alarm and electrical trades. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Data security and retention

Data your device sends for ads and purchases is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Because the app keeps your library and documents only on your device, that data is retained until you delete it or uninstall the app. We hold no personal data about you on any server, so there is nothing on our side to request deletion of; to delete everything, remove items in the app or uninstall it.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and post the new version at this address. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect in a new app release.
