Privacy Policy — Fire Sprinkler ITM Prep

Fire Sprinkler ITM Prep is an offline study aid. We do not have a server, we do not have accounts, and we do not collect anything about you. Your study data never leaves your device.

The short version. The only data that goes anywhere is what Google's advertising SDK collects to show ads in the free version. Buy the one-time Pro unlock and even that stops. Everything else — your answers, your scores, your exam date, your bookmarks — is a database file on your phone.

Who we are

Fire Sprinkler ITM Prep (the "App", package com.tapforgestudios.nicetitm) is published by 99 Cent Apps LLC, trading as TapForge Studios, of Crown Point, Indiana, USA. Contact: contact@tapforgeapps.com.

What we collect ourselves

Nothing. The App has no sign-up, no login, no analytics SDK and no backend. We cannot see your progress, your scores, or that you installed it beyond the aggregate install counts Google shows every developer in Play Console.

What stays on your device

The App stores the following locally, and only locally:

Your answers to practice questions and mock exams, and the scores derived from them
Lesson completion, bookmarks, and flashcard review scheduling
Your study streak, daily goal, target certification level and exam date
Searches you type into the NFPA 25 schedule (held in memory only, never written anywhere and never sent off the device)
App settings such as theme and reminder time
Whether you have purchased the Pro unlock

If Android Backup is enabled on your device, Google may include this data in your personal device backup. That backup is controlled by you and your Google account, not by us. See Android Backup.

Third-party services

The free version of the App shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process:

Your device's advertising ID
Approximate location, which Google may derive from your IP address
Device and app information, and your interactions with ads

This is Google's processing, under Google's Privacy Policy. We receive only aggregate earnings reports — never data about an individual.

Before AdMob is initialised, the App presents Google's User Messaging Platform consent form where required (for example in the EEA and UK), so you can choose whether ads are personalised. You can reopen that choice at any time from Settings → Ad privacy options.

Purchases are handled by Google Play Billing. We never see or handle your payment details; Google confirms to the App only that the product is owned. See Google's Privacy Policy.

If you turn on the optional hands-free Listen mode, the App passes question text to your device's own text-to-speech engine. Which engine that is depends on your device settings. Some engines process speech on-device; others may send text to the engine vendor's servers. That is governed by the engine you have selected in Android's settings, not by us.

Permissions and why

INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — to fetch ads and verify purchases. The study content itself is bundled and needs no connection.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS — optional daily study reminders. Decline it and the rest of the App works normally.
VIBRATE — haptic feedback.
com.android.vending.BILLING — the Pro unlock.
AD_ID — required by AdMob to serve ads in the free version.

Children

The App is aimed at working tradespeople and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data security

Because your study data stays on your device, its security is tied to your device's own protection — screen lock, disk encryption, OS updates. Data exchanged with the Google services above travels over encrypted connections managed by Google.

Your choices and rights

Wipe your study data from Settings → Reset all progress, or uninstall the App to remove all of it.
Control ad personalisation from Settings → Ad privacy options, or by resetting or limiting your device advertising ID (Android Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Remove ads entirely with the one-time in-app purchase.
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access or delete personal data. Since we hold none about you, such requests are best directed to Google for the data processed by their services.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves or as laws change. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date above. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
