ERCES Prep is an offline study and field-tools app. There are no accounts and no sign-in, and TapForge Studios does not collect, store, or sell your personal information.
Your quiz scores, best results per category and certification track, and app settings are stored locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to us, and it is removed when you uninstall the app.
The free version of the app displays ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares:
This data is encrypted in transit and its processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time from your device's Android settings.
Where required by law — including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland — the app presents a consent message through Google's User Messaging Platform before any ads are requested. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy options in the app. Purchasing the one-time "Remove ads" upgrade disables all advertising.
The optional one-time "Remove ads" purchase is processed entirely by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment details. The app records only whether the purchase is owned, so that ads stay disabled.
The app requests internet and network state access to load ads and verify purchases, and the advertising ID permission for ad serving. It does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, files, or precise location.
ERCES Prep is a professional certification study tool intended for adults working in the fire protection, low-voltage, and public safety communications trades. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Because all app data is stored locally, uninstalling the app permanently deletes it. You may also clear it from your device settings under Apps → ERCES Prep → Storage → Clear data.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
