DayLeaf (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is developed and published by TapForge Studios, operated by 99 Cent Apps LLC, based in Crown Point, Indiana, USA. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at contact@tapforgeapps.com.
We do not collect any personal data. DayLeaf has no user accounts, no sign-up, no login, and no analytics or advertising SDKs. The content you create — planner entries, notes, sticky notes, to-dos, occasions, alarms, themes, voice settings, widget settings and widget photos — is saved on your device and is never sent to us.
We have no servers that receive your planner data, and we cannot see what you store in DayLeaf. The app also strips the Android Advertising ID permission.
Your data is stored in the app’s private storage on your device. Uninstalling DayLeaf removes it. You can create your own backup file at any time with the built-in Export feature; that file is saved wherever you choose and is entirely under your control.
Like most Android apps, DayLeaf allows Android’s standard device backup. If you have turned on backup in your phone’s settings, Android may include DayLeaf’s data in the backup it saves to your own Google account. This is controlled by your device settings and handled by Google, not by us.
The weather card and weather on home-screen widgets are optional. If you turn them on and allow approximate location:
You can turn weather off in Settings or on each widget, or remove the location permission in Android settings at any time.
If you turn on Show my device calendar and allow calendar access, DayLeaf reads events from calendars already on your phone (for example Google or Outlook) so it can show them in the app and on widgets. Access is read-only. DayLeaf never changes, uploads or shares your calendar events.
If you choose a photo background for a widget, you pick it with Android’s system photo picker. DayLeaf gets access only to the photo you pick, does not need storage permission, and saves a copy in its private storage. Removing a widget deletes its photo. Widget photos are never uploaded.
When you use Share → Add to DayLeaf, highlight text and choose Add to DayLeaf, or use an app-icon shortcut, the text is placed into DayLeaf’s add screen on your device. Nothing is saved until you tap Save, and nothing is sent anywhere.
DayLeaf shows alarms and reminders you set. You can also turn on an optional morning plan, evening wrap-up and weekly recap. These are created on your device from your own entries; there are no push servers and no marketing notifications. Each one can be turned off in Settings.
If DayLeaf crashes, it saves a short technical report on your device (error details, app version, device model and Android version, and the last few app steps). You can view it in Settings → Diagnostics.
If you email us a report, we use it only to fix the problem and reply to you.
DayLeaf includes an optional auto-backup feature (part of DayLeaf Pro). It is off by default. If you turn it on and accept the in-app notice, DayLeaf will:

Google account, not on our servers. Google Drive is governed by
Google’s Privacy
Policy.
You can turn auto-backup off at any time in Settings, which stops future uploads and signs the app out of Drive. You can delete the backup file from your Google Drive whenever you wish.
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles the transaction; DayLeaf does not receive, see or store your payment details. Google tells the app whether you own Pro so it can unlock features. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
DayLeaf may occasionally ask if you’d like to rate it, using Google Play’s in-app review window. Google runs that window; DayLeaf cannot see whether you left a review or what you wrote. The decision of when to ask is made on your device and is never shared.
DayLeaf may show a few other TapForge Studios apps. To tell you whether one is already installed, DayLeaf checks for those specific apps on your device; this check stays on your device. If you tap one, it opens the app or its Google Play page. Google Play links include a simple tag (for example “from DayLeaf”) so we can see in Google Play Console how many installs came from DayLeaf in total. The tag contains no personal information.
“Read my day” and the talking alarm use the text-to-speech engine on your device. Your entry text (and, if you turn it on, the forecast) is passed to that engine only to speak it. If you picked a network-based voice in your device’s system settings, that voice’s provider may process the spoken text under its own privacy policy; choose an offline voice to keep everything on your device.

DayLeaf does not request storage, contacts, camera, microphone or precise location permissions.
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information. The only data that leaves your device is what’s described above for features you choose to use: approximate coordinates to Open-Meteo for weather, your backup file to your own Google Drive, purchase handling by Google Play, and any crash report you decide to email us.
DayLeaf is a general-audience productivity app. It has no ads and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live). If you believe a child has sent us personal information, such as in an email, contact us and we will delete it.
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and post the revised policy at this address.
