CoolForge — Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

CoolForge is developed and published by TapForge Studios, a business of 99 Cent Apps LLC, based in Crown Point, Indiana, USA ("we", "us", "our").

2. Information you give us

None. CoolForge has no sign-up, no login, and no user accounts. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, or location. If you choose to email us for support, we will have whatever you put in that email, and we use it only to answer you.

3. Information stored on your device

CoolForge saves the following locally on your device using Android's DataStore. This data stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and we have no ability to see it:

• Which questions you have answered, and whether you got them right
• Your mastery counts per section (Core, Type I, Type II, Type III)
• Your best mock exam scores
• Whether the Pro unlock is active
• Your advertising consent choice

You can erase all of it at any time from Settings → Reset progress. Uninstalling the app also removes it completely.

4. Advertising (free version only)

The free version of CoolForge displays ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google's advertising SDK may collect and process:

• Your device's Advertising ID and other device identifiers
• Your IP address, from which an approximate (city-level) location can be derived
• Device and app information, and your interactions with ads

This processing is carried out by Google, not by us. We never receive this data.

Your consent and choices

• If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we present a Google-certified consent form (Google's User Messaging Platform) before any personalized ads are shown.
• You can review or change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy choices.
• You can reset or delete your Advertising ID at the OS level in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
• Purchasing CoolForge Pro removes ads.

5. Purchases

CoolForge Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see, receive, or store your payment card, billing address, or any financial information. Google gives the app a purchase token that tells it whether Pro is active — nothing more. Your purchase is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service.

6. Permissions we request, and why

Permission	Why
INTERNET ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE	Only to load ads and to verify your Pro purchase with Google Play. All questions and reference material are bundled inside the app and work with no connection.
com.android.vending.BILLING	To offer the one-time Pro unlock through Google Play.
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID	Added automatically by the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Allows access to the Advertising ID for serving ads and limiting how often you see the same ad.

CoolForge requests no access to your camera, microphone, contacts, files, photos, or precise location.

7. Children

CoolForge is a professional certification study tool intended for adults working in, or training for, the HVAC and refrigeration trade. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will address it.

8. Your rights

Because we operate no servers and hold no personal data about you, there is nothing on our side to export, correct, or delete — everything CoolForge stores lives on your own device and is under your control.

• Delete your data: Settings → Reset progress, or uninstall the app.
• Withdraw ad consent: Settings → Privacy choices.
• GDPR / UK GDPR (EEA, UK, Switzerland): personalized ads are shown only with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
• CCPA / CPRA (California): we do not sell or share your personal information, and we have no personal information about you to disclose.
• For any data held by Google through AdMob or Google Play, please contact Google directly using the links in Sections 4 and 5.

9. Data security

Your study data never leaves your device, which removes the risk of it being intercepted or breached on our end. The only network traffic CoolForge generates comes from Google's ads and billing SDKs, which use encrypted (HTTPS) connections.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this URL. Material changes will also be noted in the app's Google Play listing.
