Privacy Policy — Square Up

This Privacy Policy explains how Square Up (the “App”), published by TapForge Studios (99 Cent Apps LLC) (“we”, “us”), handles information when you use the App. We respect your privacy and keep data collection to the minimum required to run the game and show ads.

Summary

• We do not require an account and do not ask you for your name, email, or any personal contact details.
• Your game progress (high score, coins, owned cube skins, and settings) is stored only on your device.
• The App shows ads through Google AdMob, which may use a mobile advertising identifier to serve and measure ads.
• Purchases (such as “Remove Ads”) are processed by Google Play Billing; we never see or store your payment details.

Information Collected

1. Data stored on your device (not sent to us). The App saves your high score, coin balance, unlocked/equipped cube skins, sound/haptics preferences, and ad-removal status locally using Android shared preferences. This stays on your device and is removed if you clear the App’s data or uninstall the App.

2. Advertising data (via Google AdMob). To display ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK and its partners may collect and process certain information, which can include your device’s advertising identifier (AD ID), coarse device and app information, and ad-interaction data, in order to serve, cap, and measure ads (including rewarded and interstitial ads). This processing is performed by Google, not by us. See Google’s policies below.

3. Purchase data (via Google Play Billing). If you buy “Remove Ads,” the transaction is handled entirely by Google Play. The App only receives confirmation of entitlement (whether ads should be removed). We do not receive or store your name, card number, or billing address.

4. Consent (EEA/UK). Where required, the App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request your consent for personalized ads before ads are shown. You can change or withdraw consent at any time; on devices where the consent form is available, ads will fall back to non-personalized advertising if you do not consent.

How Information Is Used

• To save and restore your game progress and preferences on your device.
• To display and measure ads, and to apply ad frequency limits.
• To grant the “Remove Ads” entitlement you purchased and restore it on reinstall.

Permissions

• INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — required to load ads and check connectivity.
• com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID — allows access to the advertising identifier for ads.
• VIBRATE — optional haptic feedback during play (can be turned off in-game).

Children’s Privacy

The App is a general-audience arcade game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through ads, please contact us and we will assist.

Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Google AdMob — How AdMob handles data and Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Play Billing / Google Play services — Google Privacy Policy.

You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings under Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact path varies by device).

The App may contain links that open external destinations — for example, a “More Games” link that opens our developer page on the Google Play Store. Those destinations are governed by their own privacy policies.

Data Retention & Your Choices

On-device data persists until you clear the App’s data or uninstall it. You can opt out of personalized ads via the in-app consent options (where shown) or your device ad settings, and you can remove ads entirely via the in-app purchase.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
