RideLedger Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 7, 2026 · Last updated: July 7, 2026

RideLedger ("the app", "we", "us") is a mileage, pay, and expense tracker for rideshare and delivery drivers, published by TapForge Studios (99 Cent Apps LLC), Crown Point, Indiana, USA. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and the choices you have. RideLedger is built to keep your data on your device, under your control.

The short version: Your trips and expenses live on your phone. Location is used only to measure how far you drive, and is never sold. We run no servers and never receive your trip or expense data. Backups go only where you choose — a file on your phone, or your own Google Drive. The free version shows ads; RideLedger Pro removes them.

1. Information we collect

a) Data you create in the app

This data is stored in a private database on your device. It is not transmitted to us, and it leaves your device only if you choose to back it up (see §1c).

b) Location data

When you turn on trip tracking, RideLedger uses your device's location (including in the background, via a foreground service with an ongoing notification) solely to calculate the distance you drive. Location is processed on your device and stored as trip distances and, optionally, start/end points for your own records. We do not use location for advertising, and we do not sell it or send it to us or any third party. You can stop tracking at any time, and revoke location permission in your device settings.

c) Backups you choose to make

Backup is optional and off until you turn it on. You choose the destination:

d) Advertising (free version only)

The free version displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may access your device's advertising identifier and related information to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's policies. Pro subscribers do not see ads. Where required (for example, in the EEA/UK), the app presents a consent choice before serving personalized ads.

e) Receipt scanning (on-device)

If you scan a receipt, text recognition runs on your device using Google's ML Kit. Receipt images are not sent to us; they stay on your device and, only if you enable Google Drive backup, in your own Drive.

f) Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but never see or store your payment card details.
