The short version. Mathlings: Advance to Algebra is a fully offline learning app. It does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no ads, no analytics, no trackers, and no internet access. Everything your child does stays on the device.

1. Who we are

This app is published by TapForge Studios ("we", "us", "our"), operated by 99 Cent Apps LLC, Crown Point, Indiana, USA. If you have any questions about this policy you can reach us at contact@tapforgeapps.com or tapforgeapps.com.

This policy applies to the Android application Mathlings: Advance to Algebra (package com.tapforgestudios.mathlingsalgebra), referred to here as "the app".

2. Information we collect

We do not collect any personal information. The app has no account system, no sign-in, and no way to enter your name, email address, phone number, or any other contact detail. Because the app does not request the Internet permission, it cannot and does not send any information off the device.

We do not collect, and the app does not access:

names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any contact information;
location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or files;
device identifiers, the Advertising ID (we explicitly remove it — see below), or usage analytics;
any personal information from children or adults.

3. Information stored on your device (only)

So the app can remember progress, it saves a small amount of information locally on the device using Android's private app storage. This never leaves the device and is never seen by us. It includes things like:

learning progress (lessons learned, practice mastery, quiz scores, streaks, achievements);
app settings and preferences (such as sound, chosen avatar, and chosen profiles);
a record of which in-app purchases have been unlocked.

This data is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android Settings. If you use the same Google account on a new device, Android may restore app data through your own Google Backup; that restore is handled by Android, not by us.

4. No advertising and no tracking

The app contains no third-party advertising and no advertising SDKs. In keeping with Google Play's Families policy, the app explicitly removes the Advertising ID permission (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID), so no advertising identifier is available to or used by the app. We do not build profiles, do not show interest-based ads, and do not share anything with ad networks or data brokers.

5. Purchases

The app offers optional one-time in-app purchases (for example, premium lessons, a worksheet maker, and cosmetic items). All purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. We never see or receive your payment-card details — those are handled entirely by Google. The app only records, on the device, whether a given item has been unlocked.

Purchases are protected by an in-app parental gate (a simple question intended to be answered by an adult) before any purchase screen can be reached. Google's handling of payment information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

6. Children's privacy

This app is designed to be safe for children and families and is intended to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU GDPR (including provisions for children), and Google Play's Families policy. Because the app collects no personal information at all and has no internet access, there is no personal data about a child (or anyone) for us to collect, use, or disclose.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information (which the app provides no means to do), please contact us and we will address it promptly.

7. Permissions the app uses

The app is intentionally minimal. It does not request the Internet, location, contacts, camera, microphone, or storage permissions. Billing is handled through the Google Play Store app and does not require the Internet permission inside this app.

8. Data security

Because the app stores its data only in Android's private, sandboxed app storage and transmits nothing over a network, the information cannot be intercepted in transit. On-device data is protected by the device's own security (lock screen, encryption) and by Android's app sandbox.

9. Third parties

We do not share data with third parties because we do not collect any. The only third party involved is Google (Google Play and Google Play Billing) for app distribution and purchase processing, governed by Google's own policies.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this address. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
