This Privacy Policy explains how Grandwood Chess 3D (the “App”), published by
TapForge Studios (“we”, “us”), handles information when you use it.
The App is a single-player and pass-and-play chess game. It works fully offline and does
not require an account, sign-in, or any registration.
The short version: We do not collect personal information ourselves. We don’t ask
for your name, email, or contacts. The only data handling comes from Google’s advertising and
billing services described below, and you can remove ads entirely with a one-time purchase.
1. Information we collect directly
None. The App stores your settings, saved game, progress, and purchases locally on your device
using Android’s standard local storage. This information never leaves your device through us and is
removed when you uninstall the App.
2. Information collected by third-party services
To keep the App free, we use the following Google services, which may collect information in
accordance with their own privacy policies:
Google AdMob (advertising). Serves banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. AdMob and
its ad partners may process a device advertising identifier, IP address, general device
information, and ad-interaction data to show and measure ads. See Google’s
Advertising and
Privacy Policy.
Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). Presents a consent message where required
(for example under GDPR) and records your consent choice so ads can be shown in a compliant way.
Google Play Billing. Processes in-app purchases. Google handles your payment;
we never see your card or payment details. We receive only a purchase record used to unlock the
content you bought.
Google Mobile Ads SDK / Google Play services. May use device identifiers to provide
and protect the above services.
3. How information is used
To display and measure advertising (personalized where you consent, otherwise non-personalized).
To process and restore your in-app purchases.
To remember your settings and progress on your device.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Your choices
Remove ads. Buying the “Remove Ads” / Premium option stops ad serving and the
related ad-data collection within the App.
Reset or limit your advertising ID. Android Settings › Privacy ›
Ads lets you reset or delete your advertising ID.
Change consent. Where a consent form was shown, you can update your choice from the
privacy option in the App or via your device settings.
5. Children
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.
Because the App shows advertising, it is not enrolled in Google Play’s Designed for Families program.
If you believe a child has provided information through an embedded service, contact us and we will help
address it.
6. Data retention & security
Settings and progress remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. Information
handled by Google’s services is retained and secured under Google’s policies.
7. International users
The third-party services above may process data in countries other than your own. By using the App you
acknowledge this processing as described in those providers’ policies.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the
effective date above and posting the revised policy at this URL.
